The purpose of this writing group is to offer SPH students protected writing time, peer support (not peer review), accountability, structure, and writing support from WSS staff through writing tips and one-on-one writing consultations. The overall goal of this writing group is to create a shared sense of scholarly community in order to motivate SPH students to work towards completing their master’s theses/doctoral dissertations in a timely fashion.

Participation is FREE and open to all SPH students working on any stage of their thesis or dissertation. Participants will meet every Monday online through WebEx  Because of space and time constraints, participation in the writing group will be done on a first-come, first-served basis, and is limited to 6 participants. Participants with good records will automatically be included in the following month’s writing group until they either finish their thesis or dissertation or notify WSS staff that they no longer want to participate in the writing group.
